This summer, I feel so honoured to be selected as one of the ten artists for the summer trail. The concept centers around bringing my personal art style to breathe new life into iconic British-themed sculptures- Top Hat. I found it fitting to incorporate blue, inspired by Eastern blue-and-white porcelain and traditional Taiwanese Hakka floral fabrics. This blend of classical elements and different cultural backgrounds, combined with delicate and poetic line work, creates a graceful overall aesthetic.

In this project, I faced the challenge of transforming my line painting from flat to three-dimensional, marking my first attempt at large-scale outdoor installation art. However, It was incredibly enjoyable to experience every moment of completing this project and seeing it come to life, placed right in the middle of Whitehall Garden in London. I hope you enjoy the final piece as much as I do!
